Product Details
The SFP-10GD80-C21 is designed for 10Gb/s serial optical communication applications, where it converts a 10Gb/s serial electrical data stream into a corresponding 10Gb/s optical output signal, and vice versa, converting a 10Gb/s optical input signal back into a 10Gb/s serial electrical data stream. It employs a DWDM EML (Electro-Absorption Modulated Laser) transmitter and an APD (Avalanche Photo-Diode) photo-detector. The use of a metal shell minimizes electromagnetic interference, and the product is compliant with RoHS standards.

Note
1. Connected directly to TX data input pins. AC coupling from pins into laser driver IC.
2. 20%~80%
3. Into 100 ohms differential termination.
4. LOS is an open collector output. Should be pulled up with 4.7k – 10kΩ on the host board. Normal operation is logic 0; loss of signal is logic 1. Maximum pull-up voltage is 5.5V.

FAQ
1. What is 10G dwdm 80km?
A: 10G DWDM 80km refers to a type of optical communication technology that enables the transmission of data at a rate of 10G over a distance of 80km using DWDM. DWDM is a technique that allows multiple optical signals, each carried on a different wavelength, to be combined and transmitted over a single optical fiber. This enables the efficient utilization of the available bandwidth and increases the capacity of the fiber optic network.
2. What is the difference between CWDM and DWDM SFP?
A: The wavelength range of CWDM SFP is 1270-1610 nm. The maximum transmission distance is 120 km. However, DWDM SFP has a maximum wavelength of 1620 nm and a maximum transmission distance of 200 km.
