Notes
Note 1) TD+/- are internally AC coupled with 100Ω differential termination inside the module.
Note 2) Tx Fault and Rx LOS are open collector outputs, which should be pulled up with 4.7k to 10kΩ resistors on
the host board. Pull up voltage between 2.0V and Vcc+0.3V.
Note 3) RD+/- outputs are internally AC coupled, and should be terminated with 100Ω (differential) at the user
SERDES.

FAQ

1. Is BiDi full-duplex?
BIDI optical module is equipped with a wave division multiplexing (WDM) coupler, also known as a duplex device.Data transmission (send) from A to B is different from the return wavelength from B to A (receive).

2. How does a BiDi transceiver work?
The BiDi optical module is filtered through the filter in the module, and completes the emission of one wavelength optical signal and the reception of another wavelength optical signal at the same time. In order to achieve two-way communication, there must be the other end to complete the reception of one wavelength optical signal and the emission of another wavelength optical signal.

3. What is BiDi fiber?
BiDi relies on transceivers that have two different wavelengths in order to accommodate transmission in both directions on just one fiber.
